FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours at the following I-66 interchanges as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Monday night, June 12, through Friday night, June 16
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 29 (Lee Highway) North and South Centreville
The ramp will be closed nightly from midnight to 4 a.m. for noise wall work. Traffic will be detoured prior to the closure to Route 28 South, then follow signs to Route 29 North or South. 

Monday, June 12, and Tuesday, June 13
Ramp from Route 28 North to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed both nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for repair work. Traffic will be detoured prior to the closure to Route 29 South, stay to the left and turn left at the traffic signal onto Route 29 South, then continue for about one mile and follow signs to I-66 East.

Monday, June 12, through Wednesday, June 14
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 28 North   
The ramp will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for inspections. Traffic will be detoured farther east to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) North, stay to the right to I-66 West, then follow signs to Route 28 North. 

Monday, June 12, though Wednesday, June 14
Ramp from Route 286 South to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving. Traffic will be directed to I-66 East, exit to Route 50 West, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 West. 

Tuesday night, June 13, through Thursday night, June 15
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 28 North
Ramp from I-66 West to Braddock Road/Walney Road
The ramps will be closed nightly from midnight to 4 a.m. for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be detoured to Route 28 South, to Route 29 North, stay to the right and follow signs to Route 28 North. Drivers headed to Braddock Road/Walney Road will then stay left and follow signs to that exit.

Wednesday, June 14, and Thursday, June 15
Ramp from Braddock Road/Walney Road to Route 28 South
The ramp will be closed both nights from 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to Westfields Boulevard to reach Route 28 South. Note: This closure will not be implemented when the detour conflicts with other closures.

Thursday, June 15, and Friday, June 16
Ramp from Route 28 South to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed both nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for inspections. Traffic will be directed to continue farther south, exit to Route 29 South, travel about one mile, then follow signs to I-66 West.

Wednesday night, June 14
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 50 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for inspections. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 286 South, stay to the right to I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 50 East.

Tuesday night, June 13, through Thursday night, June 15
Ramp from I-66 East to I-495 North  
The ramp will be closed nightly from midnight to 4 a.m. for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to I-495 South, take the exit to Route 50 (Arlington Boulevard) East, stay to the right to Fairview Park, take the left fork to Fairview Park North, bear left at the traffic signal, then stay to the right following signs to I-495 North.

Thursday night, June 15, and Friday night, June 16
Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed both nights from midnight to 4 a.m. for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) West, stay to the right to I-495 South, then follow signs to I-66 West.
